DAEWOO Electronics receives two Plus X Awards
TFT-LCD-TV and Kombi-microwave awarded
On May 04, 2006 this years Plus X Awards have been awarded for great technology products in Düsseldorf. DAEWOO Electronics receives two of the coveted awards: for the TFT-LCD-TV DLP-3212 in the category design and for the kombi-microwave KOC-9N7TB in the category ease of use.
Thomas Hey, Head of Marketing & Service of DAEWOO Electronics Europe GmbH accepted the prices: “We are very happy to receive this Plus X award for the first time and that our products convinced the jury. It is a great acknowledgement that our company is on the right way with our product-philosophy. “At the development of their products Daewoo Electronics emphasises a modern technology, an exclusive design and an easy usability.
Their philosophy is also, that all devices are family-, healthy- and environmental friendly and have a great use for the customers.
The TFT-LCD-TV DLP-3212 received an Plus X award for its modern and aesthetic design. The display with a diagonal of 80 centimetre is surrounded by a silver housing with loudspeakers at the side. The respective designed stand emphasises the compact ease of the flat display.
The kombi-microwave KOC-9N7TB received a Plus X award for the ease of use. Its manifold functions with microwaves-, grill- and circulating air power can be selected through some buttons. The detailed settings for example weight or cooking time can be adjusted over the turning knob and will be shown at the display.
Furthermore five automatical menu-programs a quick-cooking-butoon assist during the preparation of the food.
The Plus X award will be awarded every year in the categories innovation, design, ease of use an ecology to price brands. The seal is an orientation for consumers in the market to make a decision for quality products. When the technical facts are getting more and more similar, a good and functional design confers a product its character and its brand-identity. The category design of the Plus X award fulfils the requirements of a great design and look.
Because modern technology is getting more complex, the Plus X award for ease of use shows the consumers, if it is possible to keep the handling of many functions as simple as possible.
